On 30th September 2024, the computer lab at the Government school in Unchagaon got an upgrade - 10 new computers all connected to a hi-speed internet.
On 30 September, 2024, the excitement at Govt Senior Secondary School, Unchagaon was palpable. The lab got ten brand new desktops. While the lab had been set up years ago with desk, chairs, and network-related accessories, it was missing functional computers! The Principal had been trying to garner funds through CSR for a few years to upgrade the lab and had not been successful. He was at a loss of words when Tech for All approached him unsolicited to improve the lab infrastructure.
The school has 1350 students enrolled across grades 6 to 12, with 300+ students opting for computer science & IT courses in the higher grades. The teachers were finding it difficult to the impart the practical component of their teaching. With the new upgraded lab, there is hope that more students will benefit form the improvement in facilities.
